Position: Sommelier job
About: The company is seeking a Sommelier to oversee the wine menu and provide recommendations on pairings. The responsibilities include supervising wine service, collaborating with vendors, and offering wine advice to guests. Ideal candidates will display a friendly demeanor, extensive knowledge of food and wine pairing, and strong interpersonal skills. They should understand the wine-making process, excel in creating food and wine combinations, and prioritize exceptional customer service. Other tasks involve updating wine lists, recommending pairings, ensuring stocked wine coolers, and organizing tasting events.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent education required; Certificate as a Sommelier or a degree in a hospitality role; Extensive knowledge of local vineyards and wineries; Understanding of the wine-making process; Availability to work weekends; Ability to obtain and/or maintain any government required licenses, certificates, or permits (must be “SERV Safe Certified” by the State of Florida)
