Position: Sommelier job
About: The Mark Hotel, a high volume restaurant located in one of New York’s most affluent neighborhoods, offers a high check average with the potential to average $1,200.00 gross per week. The Sommelier role supports the Beverage Program to maintain high standards of quality and service while maximizing profits. The Sommelier reports directly to the Chef Sommelier and the Director of Food & Beverage.
Requirements: Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language; willing to work a flexible schedule and holidays; self-motivated and able to motivate others; in-depth knowledge of food and preparation; ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously; minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar position or proper certification; excellent communication and organization skills; clean and healthy personal hygiene and grooming
