Position: Servers

About: The Hofbrauhaus, a full-service restaurant, ensures all guests are provided with prompt and friendly service according to standards. The Server describes menu items, assists guests in making food and beverage selections, takes and rings in orders, delivers food and beverages, processes payments, and assists fellow team members to ensure overall guest satisfaction at Hofbrauhaus!

Requirements: One year experience in a full-service restaurant preferred; Must be upbeat, outgoing and positive; Ability to work positively in a fast-paced environment; Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills; Basic math skills; Ability to work effectively within a team; Ability to be on your feet and alert for extended periods of time; Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. as needed; Continuous use of hands and arms; Continuous bending, reaching and twisting; Prepares room for dining by setting decorations, condiments, candles, napkins, service plates, and utensils; Protects establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies; Greets and welcomes guests; Helps patrons select food and beverages by presenting menu, offering cocktails and aperitifs, suggesting courses, explaining the chef’s specialties, identifying appropriate wines, answering food preparation questions; Transmits orders to bar and kitchen by recording patrons’ choices, identifying patrons’ special dietary needs and special requests; Keeps kitchen staff informed by noting timing of meal progression; Serves orders by picking up and delivering patrons’ choices from bar and kitchen, delivering accompaniments and condiments from service bars; Responds to additional patron requirements by inquiring of needs, observing dining process and being responsive at all times; Maintains table setting by removing courses as completed, replenishing utensils, refilling water glasses, being alert to patron spills or other special needs; Concludes dining experience by acknowledging choice of restaurant, inviting patrons to return; Obtains revenues by totaling charges, issuing bill, accepting payment, returning change or credit card and signature slip to patrons
