About: Harbor’s Edge is a premier 5-star, resort-style Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) located alongside the beautiful harbor in Norfolk, Virginia. The community consists of 300 Independent Living Residential Units, a 33-bed (Medicare/private) Skilled Nursing Healthcare Unit, a 40-bed Assisted Living Unit, and 34-bed Memory Support Unit. Harbor’s Edge is currently seeking experienced wait staff to support their exceptional five-star Dining and Catering operations. The establishment offers stunning riverfront views of the Elizabeth River from their dining venues.
Requirements: Must be at least 18 years old; At least one (1) year of relevant server experience preferred; Food Handlers Card required, training offered during orientation; Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions accurately and timely; Effectively communicate with all personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and the public demonstrating excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written skills; Strong desire to work in a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC); Must demonstrate excellent organizational and time management skills and model Service Excellence; Current COVID-19 Vaccine is required; Able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds; Able to perform various physical tasks including sitting, standing, walking, climbing stairs, bending, stooping, crouching, kneeling, balancing, reaching, pushing/pulling, and grasping with both hands.
