About: Hotel Marcel, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, located in New Haven, CT, is a historic rehabilitation and adaptive reuse of the mid-century modern Armstrong Rubber Company Building designed by Marcel Breuer in 1967. The hotel boasts LEED Platinum certification, solar power, electric car charging stations, and is the first Passive House certified and net-zero energy hotel in the United States. With 165 rooms, a full-service restaurant, a gallery, and 7,000 square feet of meeting space, Hotel Marcel offers a unique boutique experience combining local flavor, modern design, and intimate service for its guests.
Requirements: One year of prior food and beverage experience preferred; Prior guest relations training; Knowledge of proper food handling; Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English with guests, co-workers, and management; Strong written/verbal communications skills; Positive upbeat attitude/personality; Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, cooperativeness, and work with minimum supervision; Punctuality and reliable attendance are required; Proper food safety training and certification as described by law; Experience working with computers (MS Office/Google), POS (Micros, Aloha, etc.), and reservation software (Open Table)
