Position: SENIOR PROCUREMENT SPECIALIST (EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AND REGIONAL SECURITY) – GRANT FUNDED
About: Assist in identifying issues in procurement processes and handling procurement and purchasing activities. Coordinate and direct the solicitation and evaluation of qualifications and proposals as well as the subsequent negotiations of contract terms with selected vendors for the procurement of professional goods, services, and commodities specifically for the Bureau/Department. Review specifications and interact with other affiliated agencies and vendors. Answer questions related to procurement and address non-standard issues. Train staff on best practices and industry standards related to procurement activities.
Requirements: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree and four (4) years of experience in developing contract solicitations, negotiating procurement contracts, or a directly related field or; An equivalent combination of education and/or experience is required.
