Position: Senior Cook (NBOE)
About: The Newark Board of Education is seeking a Senior Cook for various locations within the school district. The Senior Cook will be responsible for the preparation, cooking, and serving of food in large quantities, ensuring quality and adherence to culinary standards. This position falls under the governance of the New Jersey Civil Service Commission, with the potential for permanency based on exam performance.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent; Two (2) years of experience as a cook in a club, restaurant, hospital, or similar setting; Served Safe certification and valid Food Handler Certificate; Possession of a valid New Jersey driver’s license if required for job duties
