About: The Sr. Consultant, Events at Blue Cross Blue Shield Association is responsible for managing conferences and events, including planning, execution, vendor management, and budget oversight. This role involves collaborating with internal stakeholders, negotiating contracts, and ensuring seamless event logistics.
Requirements: Bachelors Degree; 8+ years in a meeting management role overseeing large and/or complex meetings and conferences; Experience with project management and budget oversight; Deep experience with contract negotiations; Established relationships in the meetings industry; Experience with virtual and hybrid meeting planning; Strong communication and organization skills; Ability to work independently and as part of a team; Strong time management capabilities; Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools; Comfortable with new software applications; Ability to make quick strategic decisions in chaotic situations; Critical thinking skills; Strong contract negotiation skills
