Position: Seasonal Parks Steward
About: The City of Aurora is seeking a Seasonal Parks Steward to support the Parks, Recreation, and Open Space department in connecting with the community and defining the quality of life in Aurora. This temporary position involves important and meaningful work within the urban park environment.
Requirements: High School Diploma or GED; previous manual labor experience is preferred. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience demonstrating required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered. Minimum age of 18 years due to City’s vehicle insurance requirements. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships, understand oral and written instructions, operate maintenance equipment, and maintain a safe work environment. Must be available to work weekends, days, evenings, and holidays. Must provide outstanding customer service and represent the City of Aurora appropriately. A current Driver’s License with a good driving history is preferred. Ability to lift heavy objects, perform physical work, and work primarily outdoors in various weather conditions.
