Position: SCM Planner
About: Panasonic Procurement Corporation of America (PPA) located in Torrance, California, collaborates with Panasonic Energy of North America and Tesla, Inc. in a large-scale advanced battery manufacturing facility called the Gigafactory near Reno, Nevada. They supply cylindrical lithium-ion cells for Tesla, Inc., aiming to expand production to a global scale. Additionally, Panasonic is establishing procurement processes in preparation for a new plant in De Soto, Kansas, as part of their expansion strategy toward 2030, focusing on operational excellence in supply chain management.
Requirements: Prefer 3-5 years or more in global procurement or international trading experience; BA or BS in International Business or Computer Science preferred; Proficient with MS Office suite, especially Excel; Experience with SQL, Python, or coding skills preferred; Passion for data-driven solutions, goal setting, self-improvement, customer focus, and effective communication in English; Ability for occasional travel, overtime, teamwork, and creativity enhancement
