Position: School Baker – Washington Middle
About: The Hawaii State Department of Education is seeking a School Baker for the preparation of baked goods for meal service times and satellite delivery schedules. The role involves coordinating with food service employees, reviewing production records, accurately weighing and mixing ingredients, baking various items, setting up serving counters, portioning menu items, cleaning work areas, and more. This position requires graduation from high school or equivalent, six months of general baking experience, and one year of specialized baking experience in a restaurant, hotel, hospital, school, or institution. Substitutions are allowed with an associate’s degree or relevant technical school coursework. Quality of experience is essential to demonstrate proficiency in quantity baking.
