Position: School Baker – Waimalu Elementary
About: The Hawaii State Department of Education is seeking a School Baker for their food service program, responsible for preparing baked goods for meal services and ensuring food quality and safety standards are met.
Requirements: Education Requirement: Graduation from high school or equivalent. Experience Requirements: Six months of general work experience in a kitchen assisting with basic baking tasks; One year of specialized baking experience in a restaurant, hotel, hospital, school, or institution. Substitutions Allowed: Possession of an associate’s degree in food service/culinary arts program or completion of specific coursework may substitute for experience. Non-Qualifying Experience: Limited baking experience not involving quantity baking. Quality of Experience: Demonstrated ability to perform quantity baking duties.
