Position: Schedule Maker
About: NJ TRANSIT is looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Schedule Maker to join their Bus Service Planning Department. This role involves developing schedules, preparing headways and determining cycle times to ensure efficient bus operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accuracy in scheduling reports, representing the department in meetings, and responding to service emergencies as needed.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Planning, Business Administration, Public Administration, Economics or related field; 1 year of relevant work experience can substitute for each year of education; experience in scheduling, planning, or dispatch preferred; knowledge of data collection and analysis; ability to perform mathematical calculations and manage multiple responsibilities effectively
