Position: Sales Consultant
About: Johnson Brothers is a national family-owned wine, spirits, and beer distributor, providing exceptional service to customers since 1953. They represent the world’s most famous brands in the beverage industry, with a focus on growing an established customer base and opening new accounts within the assigned territory through consultative sales. The position involves servicing primarily On-Premise accounts like restaurants and bars, along with some retail-focused accounts in the Des Moines area.
Requirements: Ba/BS college degree or related industry experience; excellent verbal and written communication skills; goals and results driven; valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record; reliable transportation and proof of insurance; local candidates preferred (no relocation package); desire to sell and capacity to create professional presentations; prior sales experience and/or prior wine and spirits industry sales preferred; availability to work outside 8-5 schedule, as many accounts will be accessible best in early evening hours and occasional weekend events; be self-motivated/disciplined, goal-oriented, timely, and have the ability to prioritize; be able to connect well with a large range of buyer types; professional written, oral, and electronic communication skills; have the ability to lift 54 pounds from the ground and above 60 inches; team player attitude and actions
