Position: Sales Associate
About: Stamford Health, a non-profit independent healthcare system with more than 3,800 employees committed to providing high-quality health and wellness services, is seeking a Full Time Retail Sales Associate to work in the gift shop located in the main hospital lobby atrium. The Gift Shop at Stamford Health is a service contributing to the hospital’s healing environment and revenue generation. The ideal candidate should exhibit outstanding customer service skills, care, kindness, and respect in all interactions, ensuring a welcoming and aesthetically pleasing shopping experience.
Requirements: Two or more years’ experience preferably in a healthcare setting performing similar duties; HS Diploma or equivalent required; ability to work well with individuals at all organizational levels; superior verbal, organizational, and interpersonal skills required; knowledge of cash management principles and procedures; knowledge of customer service standards and procedures; ability to analyze and solve problems; knowledge of retail floor sales techniques; ability to foster collaborative relationships, work well under pressure, organize and synthesize new information, and prioritize tasks; critical thinking, analytical skills, and flexibility; ability to multi-task; demonstrates sensitivity to customer needs and expectations; manual skills requirement: ability to operate a computerized cash register, computer, and fax/printer/copier machine, with mobility necessary for delivering merchandise and normal range of hearing required for safe guest assistance.
