Position: RN (Pre Operative) Registered Nurse

Requirements: Education: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred. Must have current BCLS certification or obtain it within one month of hire. Experience: Registered Nurse is the foundational job description for all RNs, encouraged to advance through the SPIRE clinical advancement program. Licensure: Licensed and currently registered nurse in the State of Connecticut. Clinical specialty certification highly encouraged. Special Skills: All RNs are encouraged to advance through the SPIRE clinical advancement program. Physical Demand: Requires prolonged standing, walking, use of sight, hearing, and touch. May be exposed to infectious diseases and varied challenging physical, mental, and emotional conditions including patient care and end-of-life situations. Moderate stress, potential risk of injury, and the ability to handle physically demanding tasks including lifting patients of various weights.
