Position: RN Med Surg
About: 9 North is a 32-bed medical floor caring for the adult and geriatric population, catering to various medical conditions such as Cardiac, Neuro, Respiratory, Infectious Disease, and Psych. The unit offers monitoring capability for 8 cardiac telemetry patients, providing care for acute and chronic conditions, and emphasizing personal and professional growth for the staff. Dearborn Hospital, recognized as one of the ‘Top 10 Hospitals’ in Michigan by U.S. News & World Report, is a major teaching and research hospital specializing in orthopedics, neurosciences, women’s health, heart & vascular, and cancer care since 1953. It operates as a Level II trauma center with a focus on clinical excellence and innovation.
Requirements: Associates in Nursing required; Bachelors in Nursing required within 5 years; Graduates from a non-accredited school of nursing must have 1 year of acute care experience or 2 years in a licensed healthcare role and passed the NCLEX licensure exam; MI Registered Nurse (RN) required; AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) required upon hire; Specialty Certification highly recommended within 2 years
