Position: Retail Event Coordinator

About: Plan, coordinate, and facilitate events (including kids birthday parties) within a Michaels store to provide a stress-free, fun, and engaging experience for guests. Deliver friendly customer service by helping customers shop at our store and find what they’re looking for. Ensure all customers receive a fast and friendly checkout experience. Complete operational tasks including truck unload, merchandise duties, and maintaining store recovery standards as needed to deliver our Brand Promises.

Requirements: Energetic and enthusiastic personality; ability to handle job stress and interact effectively with others, including guests of all ages and co-workers; excellent people skills; experience working with children and children’s events; good communication skills including written, verbal, and nonverbal communication as well as listening skills; organizational skills, interpersonal skills, and creative problem-solving skills; retail and/or customer service experience required
