Position: Restaurant Sales Manager
About: The Plateia Sales Manager is responsible for identifying new business partnerships to secure revenue streams for Plateia Restaurant located in the Luskin Conference Center. The role involves actively managing external vendors and affinity partners, developing contract parameters, establishing event timelines, selecting appropriate media channels, setting sales performance goals, and collaborating with senior level leaders. The incumbent ensures effective relationships with colleagues, coordinates revenue generation and marketing plans, and negotiates rates with clients for Plateia Restaurant events.
Requirements: 3+ years of experience in catering or restaurant sales manager position; 3+ years of experience in hospitality group sales; Ability to close sales and negotiate high-dollar-value financial contracts; Working knowledge of the restaurant business including menu planning, current trends in food and entertaining, and basic room set-ups and capacities; Analytical skills to contribute to marketing and sales plans; Accounting and math skills to prepare cost estimates, proposals, and billing explanations; Experience in maintaining productivity within a broad scope of responsibility; Highly developed interpersonal communication skills; Ability to give clear directives and use independent judgment; Proficient in standard business software (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite) and hospitality sales software (e.g. Delphi); Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Skill in writing grammatically correct business English; Knowledge of University accounting forms and procedures is preferred; Working knowledge of Housing & Hospitality operational units policies and procedures preferred
