Position: Restaurant Operations Manager
About: Black Walnut Cafe, a popular restaurant chain, is seeking an Operations Manager to lead the front of the house team and oversee all operational aspects related to guest relations, food quality, vendor relations, personnel management, cleanliness, and organization. This role reports directly to the General Manager and is crucial for ensuring a seamless dining experience for guests at the cafe.
Requirements: Maintain cleanliness and organization of the ‘cashier line’; Place and receive orders during proper times; Check product for quality standards; Maintain guest relations; Visit every table once during the meal; Ensure all food pushed from the kitchen meets expectations; Maintain front of the house staffing levels; Manage shrinkage and security control; Schedule writing; Process invoices; Train and develop front of house partners; Safely open and close the store; High personal standards; Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs; Ability to be on feet for 10-14 hours; Computer skills; Conflict management; Great people skills; Organizational skills; Effective time management skills; Written and oral communication skills; Sense of urgency; Ability to deal with upset guests; Quick thinker; Perform well under stress; Motivate staff; Ability to teach and develop partners
