Position: Residential Youth Caregiver – Relocation to Hershey, PA Required
About: Milton Hershey School (MHS) is a renowned private school offering a career-focused education to students from pre-K through 12th grade from disadvantaged backgrounds. Founded in 1909 by Milton and Catherine Hershey, MHS provides housing, meals, and a fully endowed resource-rich environment for both students and staff to thrive. MHS is currently seeking married couples to join as flex houseparents, residing in on-campus student homes to provide guidance and nurture a group of students.
Requirements: Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings; legally married for at least two years; both spouses aged 27 or older; no more than three dependent children in the student home; abide by campus rules including no smoking, weapons, or alcohol on duty; possess a valid driver’s license and ability to drive student home vans; comfortable leading students in daily devotions and chapel services; high school diploma or GED required; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; demonstrate high integrity as role models for students; both spouses must complete individual employment applications.
Benefits: Salary of $43,825 per person (total compensation of approximately $150,000 per couple including free housing, meals, utilities, and more); comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, health savings and flexible spending accounts, life insurance, disability options, and retirement savings; relocation assistance and paid training provided; schedule of nine days on and three days off with personal time during school hours; three-week paid summer vacation.
