Position: Residential Youth Caregiver – Relocation to Hershey, PA Required
About: Milton Hershey School (MHS) is a renowned private school providing exceptional career-focused education to students from pre-K through 12th grade from disadvantaged backgrounds. Founded in 1909 by Milton and Catherine Hershey, the school offers comprehensive support including housing, meals, and more, with all costs covered. MHS is currently seeking married couples to join as flex houseparents, residing in on-campus student homes to guide and nurture a group of students, providing a family-like environment and essential care.
Requirements: Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings; this is a two-person job for couples who have been legally married for at least two years; both spouses should be age 27 or older; no more than three dependent children may reside in the student home; abide by campus policies including smoke-free, weapon-free environment, and no alcohol while on duty; limitations on pets with only fish and one approved breed of dog allowed; valid driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans; comfortable leading students in daily devotions and taking them to Sunday chapel services; high school diploma or GED required; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; demonstrate high integrity as role models for students; both spouses must complete individual employment applications.
