Position: Residential Youth Caregiver – Relocation to Hershey, PA Required
About: Milton Hershey School (MHS) is a renowned private institution offering a transformative education to students from pre-K through 12th grade, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds. Founded in 1909 by Milton and Catherine Hershey, MHS ensures all student needs are met by providing housing, meals, and a supportive environment. The school is currently seeking married couples to serve as flex houseparents, residing on-campus to guide and nurture a group of students in a family-like setting.
Requirements: Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings; Couples must have been legally married for at least two years; Both spouses must be age 27 or older; No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home; Abide by campus regulations including smoke-free, weapon-free policies, and no alcohol while on duty; Limitations on pets with only approved breeds of fish and one dog; Valid driver’s license and ability to drive student home vans; Comfortable leading students in daily devotions and to Sunday chapel services; High school diploma or GED required; Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.; Candidates must demonstrate a high degree of integrity as role models for students; Both spouses must complete individual employment applications
