Position: Residential Youth Caregiver – Relocation to Hershey, PA Required

About: The Residential Youth Caregiver position at Milton Hershey School involves married couples serving as flex houseparents for students from disadvantaged backgrounds. Couples provide a nurturing family-like environment while managing daily responsibilities like driving and administering medication. Milton Hershey School (MHS) is a renowned private school offering a career-focused education with housing and meals covered for students in pre-K through 12th grade, thanks to the philanthropy of Milton and Catherine Hershey. MHS is seeking married couples to become flex houseparents, guiding and nurturing groups of students on campus.

Requirements: Experience working or volunteering with youth, ideally in under-served settings; this is a two-person job for couples legally married for at least two years; both spouses aged 27 or older; limit of three dependent children in the student home; adhere to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus with no alcohol allowed on duty; restrictions on pets with only fish and one approved dog allowed; possess a valid driver’s license and ability to drive student home vans; comfortable leading students in daily devotions and to Sunday chapel services; high school diploma or GED required; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; demonstrate a high level of integrity and serve as role models for students; both spouses must complete individual employment applications.

Benefits: Salary of $43,825 per person (total compensation for couples around $150,000 including free housing, meals on duty, and utilities); comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, health savings accounts, life insurance, disability options, and retirement savings; relocation assistance and paid training provided; nine days on, three days off schedule with personal time while students are at school; three-week paid summer vacation.
