Position: Residential Youth Caregiver – Relocation to Hershey, PA Required
About: The Residential Youth Caregiver position at Milton Hershey School involves married couples residing in on-campus homes to nurture and guide a small group of students. Couples are responsible for providing a family-like environment, managing daily activities, and supporting students from disadvantaged backgrounds. Milton Hershey School (MHS) is one of the world’s best private schools, offering exceptional career-focused education from pre-K through 12th grade for students from underprivileged backgrounds. Marrying education with housing and meals, the school covers all costs for students and staff, thanks to the generous endowment by Milton and Catherine Hershey in 1909. This role is for married couples to become flex houseparents, providing a structured and nurturing environment for a group of students on campus.
Requirements: Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings; This is a two-person job for couples who have been legally married for at least two years; Both spouses should be age 27 or older; No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home; Abide by a smoke-free and weapon-free campus, with no alcohol permitted while on duty; Limitations on pets, only fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed; Valid driver’s license; ability to become certified to drive student home vans; Comfort leading students in daily devotions and taking them to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services; High school diploma or GED required; Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs; Candidates must demonstrate a high degree of integrity; Both spouses must complete an individual employment application
