Position: Resident Assistant
About: The Emergency Shelter is seeking a dedicated Residential Assistant (RA) to provide essential services and support to shelter residents, guests, and visitors. The RA will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the emergency shelter program, offering assistance, completing intakes, and maintaining a safe and clean environment for all individuals accessing the services. Strong communication, empathy, and proactive problem-solving skills are essential for this role.
Requirements: AA degree and 1 year of experience in human services or related field preferred; Possession of a valid driver’s license required; Knowledge of homelessness issues a plus; CPR and First Aid required or must be obtained within 15 days of hire.
