Position: Registered Nurse II – ART HVC Prep & Recovery/Observation
About: ART Prep & Recovery (P&R) is located in the Ashley River Tower and supports inpatient and outpatient procedures in Vascular Interventional Radiology (VIR), Electrophysiology Lab (EP), Adult Cardiac Cath Lab, and ECHO Lab. The team works rotating shifts and collaborates with Registered Nurses and Heart & Vascular Technicians to oversee standardized prep and recovery tactics. The HVC observation is a short-stay unit that provides care for stable adult patients directly post-procedure or post-recovery from the Prep and Recovery Unit. It is staffed with 2 Registered Nurses and 1 Heart & Vascular Technician or Patient Care Technician, with a maximum of 6 patients at a time.
Requirements: Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred; enrolled in an accredited BSN program within two years for RN staff with an Associate or Diploma degree; one year of work experience as a registered nurse required; licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or compact state; current Basic Life Support (BLS) and ACLS certifications required
