Position: Recreation Services Coordinator
About: The City of Las Cruces is seeking a Recreation Services Coordinator to provide inclusive social leisure and sport services to the youth, adult, and senior community. The position involves overseeing, managing, and coordinating all personnel and recreational programs, as well as facilitating educational, recreational, and social programming. The coordinator will also be responsible for coordinating sporting leagues, driving and coordinating travel for community events, and ensuring the safety and success of all programs and events provided by the city.
Requirements: High School Diploma or GED required; 2 years of experience in recreation programs and facilities; valid driver’s license; First Aid and CPR certifications must be obtained within 60 days from date of hire. Knowledge of principles, practices, techniques, and regulations related to recreational services; ability to prioritize tasks, provide excellent customer service, maintain accurate records, communicate effectively, and operate relevant tools and equipment.
