Position: RECREATION PROGRAMMING ASSISTANT (CLASS CODE 6149)
About: Under general supervision, implement specific recreational events, activities, and programs. Coordinate and train subordinate and volunteer staff, perform administrative duties, disseminate program information, and meet with community groups to plan special events.
Requirements: A Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation, Parks Administration, or related field and six (6) months of work experience, OR a Bachelor’s degree in any field and six (6) months of experience in recreation event planning, OR a High school diploma and four (4) years of experience in recreation programs, OR status as a Recreation Leader II with two (2) years of experience. Supervisory experience preferred. Applicants must verify education credentials and undergo a one-year probationary period.
