Position: Recreation Coordinator II (Events)

About: Under general supervision of the Senior Manager in the Senior Services Department, this role involves planning, organizing, and coordinating senior and adult w/adaptive needs recreational events, activities, and special projects at Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community. The position requires creative and highly organized planning to successfully implement events from conception through completion.

Requirements: Graduation from High School or a GED equivalent is required; minimum of two years’ experience in coordinating and/or event planning; an Associate’s Degree in hospitality management, marketing, public relations, parks and recreation or closely related field is preferred; one year of full-time recreation-related work with a senior population is preferred; food handler, CPR, and First Aid certifications required within 6 months of hire.
