Position: Receptionist (Full-Time and Part-Time Positions Available)
About: Receptionist Essential Responsibilities include providing top-notch customer service, responding to telephone calls, strategically scheduling and managing appointments, triaging urgent or emergency phone calls, handling requests for prescriptions and food refills, preparing for appointments, explaining estimates and discharge instructions, inputting charges for medications and products, collecting and processing payments, maintaining office cleanliness, valuing a strong standard of care for the patient, maintaining a professional appearance, preparing and maintaining medical records, checking in clients, following up with clients, managing record requests, filling prescriptions, providing client education, understanding medical terminology, and maintaining proper documentation in the medical record.
Requirements: Responsible & reliable; positive team member; strong, clear communicator; values providing a quality experience for the client; self-starter who takes initiative; able to prioritize tasks; able to multitask & handle busy situations; attention to detail; adaptable, open to learning new information & skills; professional appearance and ethic; has a minimum of 2 years of previous experience working as a veterinary receptionist or in a similar customer service role; computer skills including Google docs, Microsoft, email, scanning, and fax; ability to handle animals in a calm manner
