Position: Receptionist -Family Birth Ctr
About: Under the direction of the Director of Women’s Services/Supervisor, the Receptionist functions in processing registrations for Family Birthing Center/NICU inpatients, outpatients, and observation patients. Responsible for conducting professional patient interviews, obtaining demographic, financial, and biographical information, and ensuring efficient, accurate, and timely registration processes. Also responsible for greeting patients, families, physicians, guests, and staff of the Family Birthing Center, and supporting infant security and service excellence following PH Standards of Behavior.
Requirements: Must be a high school graduate or equivalent with GED; Medical Terminology preferred. Prefer two years of clerical experience, including proficiency in Microsoft Windows. Requires a minimum of two years of customer service. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Must attend the required Patient Access Services training class and pass the test upon completion with a score of 90% or better. Must demonstrate a working knowledge of general computer skills and applications, ability to multi-task, work independently, and utilize critical thinking skills.
