About: Quince is a Three-star Michelin star restaurant that features California contemporary cuisine. The restaurant in 2020 was one of the first recipients in the Country to be awarded a Green Star from Michelin for its work with local farmers and suppliers with much of the produce coming directly from our own Farm located in nearby West Marin County. As such, the restaurant’s menus are fiercely seasonal, with the ingredients informing and inspiring all creations from the culinary team. Quince is located in San Francisco, United States.
Requirements: Proven experience as a Sommelier in a high-end restaurant or winery; Professional Sommelier certification (e.g., Court of Master Sommeliers, Wine & Spirit Education Trust); Extensive knowledge of wines, wine regions, and tasting techniques; Strong understanding of food and wine pairing principles; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment; Proficiency in inventory management and wine cellar organization; Demonstrated ability to conduct wine tastings and educational sessions; Familiarity with local and international wine regulations; Strong analytical skills for market trends and wine selection; Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with kitchen and service staff; Adaptability to work in a dynamic environment; Proficiency in using wine inventory management software; Knowledge of current wine trends and emerging wine regions; Familiarity with California wine regions is a plus
