Position: Quality Control Manager
About: Southwest Steel is a steel fabrication and erection company specializing in miscellaneous metal, steel stairs, railings, structural steel, and custom steel pieces. It is a division of SME Industries, Inc.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent; 5 years of experience in iron or structural steel inspection; AWS CWI or similar certification; NDT Level II (preferred); AWS D1.1, structural steel experience, or experience with AISC preferred; ability to understand tools and machinery mechanisms; ability to perform simple math and algebraic formulas; dependable and reliable with a focus on safety; ability to stay current with codes and standards
