Position: Program Manager, Leadership and Civic Engagement
About: The University of Houston-System is seeking a Program Manager of Leadership and Civic Engagement to enhance student growth and education through campus-wide programs and experiences. The role involves developing leadership and civic engagement initiatives, managing events, facilitating student development, and supporting community outreach efforts. Additionally, the Program Manager advises students on leadership opportunities and manages the service hub, League of the Rising Hawks.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in a related field; Experience developing or facilitating student leadership development, civic engagement, or related experience; Knowledge of student development theories and best practices; Knowledge of group dynamics and supervision; Skills in collaborative event planning and coordination; Skills in project management and time management; Strong verbal and written communication skills; Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively on a team; Ability to critically assess situations and problem solve; Ability to train and develop student leaders, individually and in groups
