Position: Program Coordinator, ELTI
About: Join the friendly and inclusive community of faculty, staff, postdocs, postgrads, and students at the Yale School of the Environment (YSE) to address critical environmental challenges. The Environmental Leadership & Training Initiative (ELTI) focuses on developing the capacity of landholders, practitioners, and decision makers to conserve and restore tropical forest landscapes through field courses, online training programs, and leadership initiatives. ELTI team consists of 10-15 members at Yale and affiliates based with local partners in tropical regions. The Program Coordinator position supports ELTI’s Program Operations Manager and Executive Director in administrative and program activities to ensure the smooth functioning of programs.
Requirements: Six years of related work experience, four in the same job family at a lower level, and high school education; or four years of related work experience and an Associate’s degree; or little experience and a Bachelor’s degree in a related field; or an equivalent combination of experience and education. Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, ability to multitask, exceptional planning skills, clear communication, ability to handle travel arrangements and event planning, initiative, ability to work effectively with people from various backgrounds, proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and excellent writing skills.
