Position: PRODUCTION CHEF
About: Blackstone Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Production Chef to join their team. The Production Chef will be responsible for training and managing kitchen personnel, supervising culinary activities, estimating food consumption, selecting and developing recipes, ensuring safety and sanitation in the kitchen, and overseeing special catering events. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of related Food Service experience with demonstrated cooking skills in a lead supervisory capacity.
Requirements: Minimum five years related Food Service experience with a culinary institution, a large institutional food service operation, or the military in a lead supervisory capacity; ability to manage in a diverse environment with a focus on client and customer services; demonstrated cooking skills and ability to teach or perform any food production task in a commercial or military kitchen environment; previous experience with controlling food and labor costs, demonstration cooking skills, menu development, and culinary team development preferred; bachelor’s degree or related culinary degree with eight or more years of industry and culinary management experience; leadership, management, and planning skills
