Position: Private Events Planner

About: The Gathering Spot is seeking a dedicated Private Events Planner to take the lead in coordinating and executing high-quality events. This role involves frequent client interaction via phone, email, and in person, requiring excellent communication skills and a positive attitude. Responsibilities include planning conferences, meetings, and special events, conducting site tours, liaising with clients and vendors, overseeing event logistics, and managing event expenses. The Private Events Planner will also be involved in selling and booking conference rooms and private events through the club’s management system, Northstar.

Requirements: A high school diploma and four years of experience in event planning or a Bachelor’s degree preferred; sales experience is a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, PR, Events, Convention Services experience preferred; excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; ability to adapt to changes, work under pressure, and balance priorities; flexibility to work late nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
