About: The Learning Experience in Hackensack, NJ is seeking dedicated Cooks to prepare nutritionally balanced and appealing family-style meals for children, adhering to state and federal nutritional requirements. As caregivers for children, cooks play a critical role in ensuring the well-being and safety of the children in their care.
Requirements: High School Diploma or GED required; ECE coursework preferred; relevant experience in a licensed childcare facility kitchen, commercial kitchen, or public school cafeteria; must meet state-specific guidelines, including food service/food handler’s permit or license; caregiving skills with a focus on child interaction; physical resilience to meet the demands of the role
