Position: Preschool Chef
About: Cooks at The Learning Experience prepare nutritionally balanced, attractive family-style meals for children. The cooks follow set menus, order food within budget, and adhere to state and federal nutritional requirements for children. The role requires mental and physical fitness to meet the demands of caring for children who may not be able to care for themselves.
Requirements: Must meet state-specific guidelines for the role; high school diploma or GED required; relevant experience in a licensed childcare facility kitchen, commercial kitchen, public school cafeteria, or equivalent; must have a food service/food handler’s permit or license according to state/local regulations; follow state and federal guidelines for health and safety; demonstrate caregiving skills for child interaction; physical resilience to perform essential job functions effectively
