Position: Preschool Chef
About: Cooks at The Learning Experience prepare nutritionally balanced, attractive family-style meals for children. This role requires following set menus, ordering food within budget, and complying with state and federal nutritional guidelines for children. Candidates need to be mentally and physically fit for the responsibilities involved in childcare at The Learning Experience.
Requirements: High School Diploma or GED required; ECE coursework preferred; Relevant experience in a licensed childcare facility kitchen, commercial kitchen, public school cafeteria or equivalent; Must meet state specific guidelines for the role; Must have a food service/food handler’s permit or license according to state/local regulations; Demonstrated caregiving skills and ability to ensure children’s safety and well-being; Physical resilience to meet the demands of the role including lifting, carrying, and supervising children in various activities.
