Position: Preschool Chef
About: The Learning Experience in Hackensack, NJ is seeking Cooks to prepare nutritionally balanced, family-style meals for children while adhering to state and federal nutritional requirements. The role involves ensuring the well-being and safety of children to spread happiness within the center.
Requirements: Must meet state specific guidelines for educational background; High School Diploma/GED required; ECE coursework preferred. Relevant experience in a licensed childcare facility kitchen, commercial kitchen, public school cafeteria or equivalent. Must have a food service/food handler’s permit or license as per state/local regulations. Strong caregiving skills required to ensure children’s safety and well-being. Physical resilience to stand and walk for extended periods, lift and carry objects up to 40 pounds, and work in various weather conditions.
