About: Cooks at The Learning Experience prepare nutritionally balanced, attractive family-style meals for children in Hackensack, NJ. The cooks follow set menus, order food within budget, and adhere to state and federal nutritional requirements for children, contributing to the well-being and happiness of the children under their care.
Requirements: Must meet state specific guidelines; High School Diploma/GED required; ECE coursework preferred; Relevant experience in a licensed childcare facility kitchen, commercial kitchen, public school cafeteria or equivalent; Must meet state specific guidelines for the role; Proven judgment to identify and address potential risks in a childcare setting; Physical resilience to lift and carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds, stand and walk for extended periods, and work in varying temperatures
