Position: Prep Cook job
About: Lutheran Homes of South Carolina is seeking a dedicated individual to join their team and take on the responsibility of daily set up, cleaning, tear down activities in the main kitchen, satellite kitchen, and Soda Shop/General Store. The role also involves delivering meals and beverages to a second building via Tray service, encompassing tasks such as basic cooking, cleaning, inventory control, temperature checks, and transportation of meals to different areas of the complex.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of two years’ experience in food service; basic cooking and customer service skills; knowledge of food safety and dish room operations; ability to interact well with residents and staff during meal times; capable of lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for extended periods, and transitioning between tasks; prior supervisory experience is a plus
