Position: Prep Cook job
About: The Prep Cook is responsible for preparing ingredients and stations used in the cooking process for large groups attending private events and gatherings. This role requires someone with experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment, basic culinary skills, a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and excellent teamwork abilities. The Prep Cook directly reports to the Catering Sous Chef.
Requirements: Applicants must be 18 years of age or over; Proof of eligibility to work in the United States; Minimum of 1 year of culinary experience in a high-volume restaurant or catering kitchen; Manual dexterity to operate cooking tools such as knives; Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines, demonstrating a strong sense of urgency and attention to detail; Ability to multitask and prioritize under the pressure of deadlines, working independently and delivering against multiple priorities; Southern Nevada Health District Food Handlers Certified; Capable of standing and working on your feet for extended periods; Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs; Maintain a calm and professional demeanor in a high-stress, fast-paced environment; Availability for varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays; Ability to work in an environment subject to varying levels of noise, crowds, flashing lights, and smoke; Must have the ability to withstand high temperatures, heat, and sun exposure
