The Nutrition Support Services (NSS) department offers all CPS students breakfast, lunch, and, at select schools, after-school meals at no charge, following USDA’s Child Nutrition Program meal patterns.
Requirements: Education Required: Must possess and maintain a valid Food Handlers Certificate or a Chicago Department of Public Health Food Service Managers Certificate; Experience Required: 1 year of previous work experience, or an equivalent combination of related training and experience; Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of basic sanitation principles and practices; ability to follow oral and written instructions, perform sanitation duties, lift heavy objects, stand for long periods, work in various physical environments, and differentiate colors and odors.
