Position: Porter job
About: The Nutrition Services department is seeking top talent for the position of Porter. This role offers career development opportunities through enrollment in the Nutrition Services Career Path program, with the potential to earn additional compensation upon completion. The Porter will work under the direction of the Nutrition Services Manager and Supervisor, focusing on maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in various service areas such as retail, patient services, and coffee kiosks. Responsibilities include ware washing, managing pot and pan supplies, assisting in different areas as required, handling vendor receiving and storage, and potentially transporting food to satellite locations.
Requirements: High school diploma/GED preferred or a minimum of 1 year related work experience; Minimum of 1 year experience in hospitality services, customer services, or general labor preferred; Previous experience in nutritional services in a medical or hospital setting preferred; Must be 16 years of age; Must be able to lift 40 pounds; Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills; Demonstrate ability to multi-task and work independently using critical thinking skills; Ability to perform physical demands of frequent standing, walking, stooping, and bending
