Position: Porter – Food Services UH/LMC (10:00AM-6:30PM)
About: Porter – Food Services at University Health Lakewood Medical Center (UHLMC) in Kansas City, Missouri. University Health is the safety net healthcare system for Jackson County/Kansas City, serving as the primary teaching institution for the UMKC Schools of Medicine, Nursing, Dentistry, and Pharmacy. UH is a 547-bed academic medical center dedicated to delivering high-quality medical care with compassion and dedication, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. UH consists of three campuses, including UH Truman Medical Center, UH Lakewood Medical Center, and UH Behavioral Health, each specializing in different aspects of healthcare services and education.
Requirements: Good skills required to meet and service the public; Good communication skills (written and verbal) with proficiency in English; Maintain a Food Handler’s Card; Ability to follow oral and written instructions in English; Motor skills such as bending, twisting, turning, kneeling, reaching out/up, wrist turning, torquing, grasping, and finger manipulation; Verbal communication with patients, customers, and co-workers; Positive and empathetic interaction with patients, customers, and co-workers; High school diploma or GED
