Position: Porter/Concierge
About: Phipps Houses, a renowned not-for-profit developer/owner of affordable housing in New York, is seeking candidates for the role of Porter/Concierge at one of its newest developments in Far Rockaway Queens. This hybrid position involves working as a Porter for 4 days a week and as a Concierge for 1 day a week, with potential for full-time Concierge role in the future.
Requirements: High School or GED Preferred. One to three months prior experience in Porter or Custodial roles; prior experience as a concierge in residential buildings preferred; excellent customer service skills; proficiency in using Microsoft Outlook; demonstrated leadership skills, strong customer service orientation, excellent oral and written communication abilities, exemplary work ethic with focus on cost control and efficiency, ability to multitask and manage multiple projects concurrently, willingness to take direction from management staff.
