Position: Pool Server (On-Call)
About: Taking care of every guest as it pertains to food service. Knowledge of the sequence of service: Explanation of daily specials, wine order, food order, mis-en-place for the table, serve appetizer, serve entrée, check with the guest periodically to ensure satisfaction, dessert and coffee service, presentation of check. Serves guests food and beverages poolside. Responsible for maintaining an organized and clean service area at all times, including setup and breakdown. Ability to up-sell and increase check averages. Adheres to proper cash drop procedures and closing out the daily procedure. Remaining and being seen on the floor at all times. Abiding by hotel and sanitation guidelines. Wipe down, set up and move, when necessary, all pool deck equipment. SALARY RANGE: $17.80 – $18.50 HOURLY
Requirements: High intensity and stressful environment as it pertains to cover counts. Must be able to carry 3+ plates at a time of weights up to 15 pounds. Ability to remain on your feet for 7+ hours. Ability to work in high temperatures. Knowledge and identity of food items. Knowledge of wine, liquor, and other beverage service. Ability to provide courteous, efficient, and professional service. Greet guests with a smile. Be able to answer any questions from the guest concerning the menu, our hotel, and other outlets of the Hotel. Must have an open and flexible schedule. Ability to think fast, react fast, and resolve issues. Empowerment to take problems into own hands and resolve them. Must know your clientele and remember names and favorite foods. High school diploma required. 2+ Years as a server. Must be minimum age to serve alcohol. Ability to obtain any government-required license or certificate. CPR Certification and/or First Aid Training preferred. Tips Training necessary, may be provided by the Hotel. Food handlers certification.
